Welcome to The TGA Blog!!

Some of you may know me as the viral Cat Distribution premium member Lenny & the Cats or the wife who keeps surprising her husband with random animals aka Lynnae, the co-creator of The Great Attempt.

What you may not know about me is that I love to write, or at least attempt to write. Not gonna lie, I am NOT a distinguished "writer" by any means. I will most likely have incorrect grammar or mistakes in these posts, but what I am is a storyteller. One that is beyond excited to bring you along on our journey here at the TGA.

This blog will cover a multitude of topics including travel guides, hidden gems, tips and tricks for backpacking, animal rescue highlights in our series "TGA Tails" and personal lessons from attempting to live a life worth telling a story - that I hope will inspire you to attempt something new.

✨ My Credentials ✨

My husband and I have spent the past 8 months on a global backpacking trip (with no previous experience 😬) attempting to live life as nomads. Not gonna lie we have had our fair share of ups and downs in this new lifestyle, but we have also learned so many great lessons and want to share them with you! ...*Insert this blog *

Something about us is that we like to do things unconventionally. I guess that is why we decided to alter the course of our lives with this backpacking trip. With this being said, while traveling we have realized we do not enjoy the "touristy spots". We find joy in the less known spots. We would rather spend a day eating at a local cafe and walking alongside a hidden beach instead of being just one in the crowd at the overcrowded public beach sipping on a Starbucks.

So you can bet your bottom dollar that we will give you our unfiltered honest opinions on tourist hot spots and share the hidden gems we have fallen in love with.

The Core Mission of TGA ✨

We are also animal lovers who are passionate about animal advocacy and have been blown away by organizations and rescues around the world who are doing amazing things for the animal community & wildlife conservation. Before we packed up our lives and left our old lives behind we had a revolving door of fosters and were very involved in our local rescues. Our animal resume also includes being directors to an amazing Texas small pet & reptile rescue.

Creating TGA Tails is a dream in the making, being able to connect our passion of animal advocacy and travel into one series where we can bring the stories of rescues on the other side of our planet to your home screens makes us giddy!

I would have to say, however, that our most important credential is our passion behind our dream of storytelling and inspiring others to step outside of their comfort zone - because that is where the most memorable moments of this beautiful life happen.
